Joshua Phelan, twenty-eight.
I'm originally from Los Angeles, but I was given a golden opportunity here. I couldn't pass it up... plus, they really wanted me. Back in Cali I had a psychiatric practice with my mother after graduating top of my class from UCLA. So, I guess they thought I was pretty qualified. I'm just glad to be here and helping those in need. Hopefully, I don't get shunned around town too much.

Relax... -nods gently, gesturing with his hands for him to settle down- Everyone is here for a reason, and my purpose here is to help you figure it out and help you.

-holds onto his patience despite the yelling- I'm not saying there's something wrong... but you're here, so we're just going to keep an eye on you and when we see that you're a-okay we'll send yo home. Alright, Hunter?

Can't we technically just sign ourselves out? I mean, do we really have to stay?

You signed a voluntary form stating you'd wait for us to release you... so, technically, no. You can't leave.

I really didn't have a choice, so it really wasn't voluntary -makes a face then looks at him- so, how does this work exactly? you tell me I have a problem, I admit it or something and then I get to leave?
[gosh why is this board not more active!]

[ idk :[ sighhh. ]
-disregards the choice statement and shakes his head 'no'- That's not how it works at all. We don't want you to lie, or have a forced admission. We essentially want to figure out why your family sent you here - and evaluate if there is really an issue. If there's an issue, we don't want you to lie or kick and scream your way out of here. You'll eventually realize it on your own with our help, at least that's our goal here. If we determine you're good to go, then you can go. But that takes some time..
